Lessons run daily: Tuesday through Sunday. All lessons are by appointment only. Larimar offers a wide range of instructors with unique styles to help each of our riders grow in a safe and fun environment. Whether a beginner or a frequent competitor, we customize our lessons and gear them towards any level rider. We work with all ages as well as goals. Together we determine a plan for you to advance in your riding career. Lessons are generally between 30-60 minutes depending upon the strength and skill level.

Please keep in mind the nature of the sport and come wearing appropriate attire. Anyone participating in a lesson must bring a pair of boots and long pants. Riding attire is encouraged, but not required. Helmets will be available for those who need them.

FIRST STEP!

Note: Students must download & print the Larimar Show Stables Lesson Liability Release and Waiver

This form must be reviewed & signed at least 48 hours prior to the first day of camp. It cannot be done the day of. It can, however, be returned before or on the first day.

SERVICE PAYMENT

Lesson fees must be paid for in advance by CHECK or CASH with no additional service fee. We accept CREDIT CARDS (3.5% service fee) and VENMO (2% service fee).

WHAT TO EXPECT

When do I come for my lesson?

All riders should plan for 1.5 to 2 hours per lesson. You will need to come 30 mins before your lesson starts in order to groom and tack your horse. After your lesson riders should plan a half hour after to groom and care for horse, clean and put away your tack.

What do I do in my lessons?

PREPARING:

Arrive 30 mins prior to lesson, check the board for lesson time and horse you are riding, collect and bring out all tack for you horse, pick horses feet before leaving stall, groom and tack your horse.

RIDING:

Bring horse into the arena at your lesson time. Work with instructor and horse on achieving your goals.

CONCLUDING:

Pick horses feet (if you are leaving the indoor), untack horse and put in stall (with cooler if cold out), clean tack and put away. Then groom horse and put away.

What do I wear to my lesson?

If riding clothing is not an option, please wear jeans and hard sole shoes with a heel (sneakers not allowed). We will provide a safety helmet that is required when riding at Larimar.

LESSON PACKAGES

First lesson/ Evaluation ride is $10 off

Entry level lessons are 30 minutes long: Group or Private | Package of 6 is $270 or single lesson is $50.

Intermediate lessons are 30 - 45 minutes long: Group or Private | Package of 6 is $330 or a single lesson is $60. Intermediate riders are capable of walk, trot & canter and completing two consecutive cross rails.

Advanced lessons are 45 minutes long: Group or Private | Package of 6 is $390 or single Lesson in $70. Advanced riders are capable of jumping full courses.
